A (long) Overdue Update

Hi guys! So, where to start? The last time that I updated was when I found the doc with the "magic pill" so I called it at least. I guess I will start there... the magic pill. The first question I guess I should answer is did it work?! Much to my surprise, it has worked! *HALLELUJAH!* I have been on it for almost a year now, and it has truly changed my life. I'm not asked, paid, influenced (etc) to say these things either. The proof is undeniable. I have gone from having usually no (but 1 or 2 if I'm lucky) natural non-medically induced periods a year to something completely different. While I was on Femara (we started that in Feb) I was also put on prometrium (progesterone) and whilst on the prometrium, I spotted for a few days and didn't think anything of it. About a month and two weeks later I had an actual natural period. After looking at the timing and comparing charts, I realized that the spotting wasn't what I thought it was. I had actually had TWO regular un-induced periods! This is HUGE for me as I have NEVER had regular cycles in my life. I am still working on pinpointing ovulation but I am not tracking it hardcore since right now I am just trying to see if these were fluke incidences or if my cycles are actually going to be somewhat normal... I literally cannot say normal because I have no idea what normal would be. Anyway, enough talk about Aunt Flo. We tried Femara in Feb (2.5 mg) and it didn't work, I ovulated on my own much later after I finished the Femara and then had the period which I thought was spotting. Long story short, my husband and I went on vacation in April and decided to enjoy the time away and not worry about ovulation or provera or anything TTC related. Long story short, at the very end of our vacation (on the way home) my period came! Okay, for real this time.. no more AF talk. ;) We are trying the "sperm meets egg" plan for now, and I am trying to decide whether or not I want to let my body try and ovulate on its own, or if I want to continue with round 2 of Femara. I am also contemplating starting the Foster to Adopt process. Other than that, the TTC process has been pretty mundane. My PCOS symptoms have been regulated from the Eye Folate as well. I have days once in a while where I hurt, but they are few and far between. The mood swings have improved drastically as well. The only thing that has gotten worse is the acne, but I am thinking that's from my cycles coming regularly a couple times since that is when it got pretty bad. The weight gain has plateaued (thank GOD!) and everything else has been great! I will be posting an update video very soon, I am importing it and editing it this weekend, so it will be up within the next week so stay tuned to my YouTube channel! Thank you all for your patience, and for hanging in there with me through this year long break from blogging and vlogging, it has been refreshing, but I have missed it very much! I will update on here again soon - hopefully when AF #3 shows her face. Much love to all of my soul-cysters. <3
